If you were induced with your first pregnancy...
What is your doctor's plan for you this time around?
I was induced at 41 weeks with DS. I was given 1/4 dose of cervadril and that sent me into full labor - I had DS after 12 hours of labor (with 3 of the hours being pushing). Today my OB told me that she would like to see me induced at 39 weeks. She said that they let you go longer with your first baby because there is less chance of a c-section when you are induced. She said that we know I respond well to being induced and that it is very unlikely that I will go into labor on my own. This all seems very strange to me! Anyone's OB tell them similar? Anyone out there induced with the first pregnancy but not the second?

Re: If you were induced with your first pregnancy...
I was induced with my first pregnancy due to low amniotic fluid and baby was small for gestational age at 38 weeks (my placenta stopped working around 32 weeks). I have an OB appointment next week and I am going to ask what the plan is for this pregnancy because so far everything seems to be working well and developing appropriately as of my last sono (around 30 weeks).

I was induced at 41 weeks with DC#1 but we haven't discussed a plan for DC#2 & I'm 33 wks now so I'm assuming they will try & let me go naturally if possible. If not, I'll prob be induced again at 41 weeks.
