1 year old Feeding Schedule (sorry a bit long?)

I need a little help here! I'm transitioning from formula to milk and trying to get my DS to drink out of the sippy cup more (Until today he would only drink 1oz from a sippy cup, usually juice or water).

The problem is that DS has not been gaining the weight he should be and is under the 50th percentile so I am very worried.

I was wondering if anyone could give me a detailed example of their feeding schedule. What you are feeding your DC for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and how many oz of milk.

DS is pretty good with solid/finger foods but still a beginner and a bit picky (he only has 4 teeth). I've been giving him 4 bottles of 3oz milk and 5oz formula. Our schedule is as follows (Ive tweaked it since our last dr visit). He also goes to daycare. TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE PLEASE give me some advice and let me know if I should change a few things? Are you still giving them cereal or replaced it with something else? TIA!!!!

7am- bottle
8am-breakfast (oatmeal cereal mixed with fruit)
9am-NAP
11:30am-bottle, jar or some solids and fruit
3pm- bottle, yogurt, puffs
4:30-snack
6pm-dinner (cereal with veggie and some of whatever we are having for dinner) with sippy cup of water or juice
8pm-bottle

Re: 1 year old Feeding Schedule (sorry a bit long?)

My son is 11 months and we haven't gotten to real milk yet but I'm happy to share his schedule. Mind you my boy is an eater so the portions may be large for your son. He's in the 95% in height and weight and has 7 teeth.

7:00 Awake for the day

7:30 - (Breakfast) 1/2 gerber stage 2 fruit, 1 tablespoon oatmeal mixed with formula, 8 oz bottle

9:30 - 10:30 - Nap

Noon - (Lunch) Table food lunch (today he had 1 chicken nugget, mashed potatoes, carrots and string beans) or Gerber Graduates Lil Meal (he'll eat most of it but not entire container)

1:00 - 2:00 - Nap

4:00 - (Snack) Gerber Yogurt and sippy cup with 3 oz. water, 3 oz. apple juice

5:00 - 6:00 - Nap

6:30 - (Dinner) Table food dinner (last night he had chinese with us - steamed chicken pieces, broccoli, rice*)

8:30 - (Dessert sometimes) We just started doing this. Animal crackers, a cookie, small bites of cake with Mommy :)

9:00 - 8 oz. bottle

10:00 - Sleep for the night

*The rice was messy. Won't do that again for a while.

Re: 1 year old Feeding Schedule (sorry a bit long?)

My DD is 14 months and this is her schedule:

btwn 7-8am- wake up- 6 oz milk sippy

9am- breakfast- 3-4 tbsp of oatmeal/4oz container of applesauce (usually have the Motts medly of fruit/veggie) & nutrigrain blueberry waffle
sippy-4-5 oz of water w/splash of juice

(sometimes snack, depends on nap--usually just some goldfish/crackers)

btwn 12-1-lunch- toasted mini-bagel grilled cheese / 4 oz yobaby yogurt/ puffs/ 4-5 oz sippy of water/juice

3:30- 4 oz milk sippy & snack- 1/2 a nutrigrain bar or some teddy grahams

5:30-dinner- meat raviolis/ bread/ sliced carrots/ fruit for dessert (usually Dole fruit cup-they have fruit in 100% fruit juice) 4-5 oz sippy of water/juice

7pm- 6 oz milk sippy

Our DD loves breakfast & lunch but dinner time is usually a battle. She is at the point where she hates being fed but ends up playing/throwing her food when she feeds herself.

Because she loves bread/cheese, usually I try sneaking in her veggies/meat into a grilled cheese. I also have been keeping the oatmeal in the morning because it is so full of nutrients. I have been letting her bring "someone" (one of her little sesame street characters or little people) to dinner and it seems to distract her enough for me to get most of her dinner in.

Good luck!

Re: 1 year old Feeding Schedule (sorry a bit long?)

DS is 10 months, he is still on breast milk & formula but here is his schedule. What he eats varies but this is what he ate yesterday.

wakes up between 5:30-6- I nurse him.

breakfast around 7- mashed banana with earth's best apple cinnamon oatmeal

He goes down for his morning nap at 9:30- sometimes I will give him the Plum Organic Puffs or the Happy Baby Yogurt Melts as a small snack. He also gets 4 oz. of formula right before nap.

11:30- lunch- yesterday he had carrots, lentils, a trader joe's cheese stick, and a yo baby yogurt.

I nurse him again before his afternoon nap which is 1:30-3:30 usually.

At 3:30 he gets water in a sippy and a snack- yesterday it was an Earth's Best Toddler Cereal Bar. Sometimes it is puffs/cheese/yogurt melts/applesauce- I get the Mott's unsweetened.

DH and I don't eat dinner until 6:30-7 so he eats at 5. Last night he had turkey chili and peas, with applesauce for dessert.

He gets one last formula bottle at 7:30 and he is asleep by 8.
