Favorite Toys for 3-6 month olds?
My DD is 11 weeks old -- I feel silly saying this but I dont really know how to "play" with her, I talk to her and read to her and play with the stuffed animals and rattle like things that came with her activity mat with hrer (which consists of me shaking them in front of her lol) but I cant help but wonder what else would be good for her, educationally and entertainment wise to play with even on her own especially as she gets older...
What is your LO's favorite toy ..or thing to do?

when DD was that age she was really into the lamaze plush toys that jingle and crinkle. Her personal favorite was the puppy puppy toy Image Attachment(s):

i know how you feel my ds is going to be 3 months soon and i wonder what else i can do with him. i just started to show him the baby signing times dvd- its only 30 min long and he seems to like the music I am hoping he picks up some of the signs too!

My girls love this. They dont press the buttons on their own yet but they love when I do it and move it in front of their face.
They have both of these. They are Baby Einstein.
ETA: they also love mylar balloons. They sit and stare at them and laugh when I move the balloon.

My son is 5 months old and he loves the V-Tech bunny...it's very similar to the other musical stuffed animals that the other girls listed....it has a day and night time mode...the day sings songs about their hands and feet and teaches shapes and colors and the night time mode plays sleepy music...my  goes nuts over this...it's probably one of his favorite toys. You can find it at Target and Walmart, Babies R Us, etc for $14.95. He also loves laying in the pack and play and on the bar that goes across, I hung a bunch of crinkle toys and things that he can grab onto. He seems to really enjoy them....especially the Baby Einstein zebra (sorry I can't post pictures) and Eric Carle Duck that quacks.....Hope these ideas help

My son also loves the O Ball....it's sold now in Target...it's a circular ball with lots of holes so that it's easy for a child to pick it up...it also comes in football shape....

My boys like anything that lights up and has music. Oh and peek a boo with me, eachother, their toys and our dog! I also dance around the house holding them and sing and they laugh hysterically (probably AT me)

DS has a similar one that dances.
Lamaze toys are great.
Anything that lights up, plays music or has a face he loves.
