Re: kissing your LO on the lips
I kiss dd on the lips all the time! And when I ask her for a kiss, she gives me a big open mouth kiss right on the lips!(she's 13 months old)

Re: kissing your LO on the lips
DS kisses me on the lips and I think it's adorable. He's 2 1/2 years old. I didnt kiss him on the lips when he was a baby though and I dont think I would like it very much if extended family kissed him on the lips.

Re: kissing your LO on the lips
I come from a family of lip-kissers so it isn't odd to me at all. I still would rather kiss DD on the cheek, head, neck (like nuzzling it tickles her and she laughs ) because I get cold sores once in a blue moon. DH taught her to kiss on the mouth though, so she goes right for the kisser

Re: kissing your LO on the lips
my son is almost 8 months. sometimes I kiss him on the lips...sometimes he slobbers all over my lips. At this stage, it's cute, I LOVE IT! nothing better than getting a slobbery kiss in the morning. My son knows nothing about sexuality (although he sure does experience arousal ) it's all innocent and just pure LOVE
ETA: nobody else kisses him on the lips...I'd be worried about diseases...but I guess thats silly because a disease could be transferred to a cheek just as equally.

Re: kissing your LO on the lips
I do kiss my kids on the lips, I do not see it anything wrong with it, but I won't be kissing my adult children on the lips. I do not kiss my nieces/nephew on the lips. Not sure if anyone other than my mom has ever kissed my kids on the lips....guess it doesn't bother me too much if I don't notice. I have occasionally kissed my friends kids on the lips, not on purpose, but because the child went to kiss me on the lips and I forgot (out of habit with my own I guess) to give them my cheek or kiss them on the cheek.
