Straw sippy cup for milk
DD will be 15 mths and I want to get her off the battle. She drinks from a sippy but let's just say she LOVES her bottle. She was hard to transition to a bottle from breastfeeding. I tried 3 types of bottles until she finally took to the Tommy Tippee bottles. This was after 2 days of her fighting me....and she was only 3 mths old.
Ihave never used a straw sippy for milk bc I get concerned about cleaning the cup and straw but i think i need to look at a.terntoves. What is a good cup to use and how do you clean it so there are no milk remains in the pieces?

Re: Straw sippy cup for milk
I use playtex straw cups for ds, the insulated ones for milk and the regular ones for water. I clean the cups and caps with a bottle brush and clean the straws with a Dr browns small brush (I've seen a generic small brush in stop and shop too for less $$)
DS has been getting formula/milk (once we transitioned) in these cups for about 6 months now. And I've had no problems with cleaning them.

Re: Straw sippy cup for milk
i just bought 2 straw cups from NUBY for DS yesterday. they are insulated so its good for milk. I also bought the 2 pack of nipple brushes from BRU..they work well for cleaning the inner parts of the sippy & straw cups.
for the playtex cups you can buy replacement valves on amazon for a few bucks.

Re: Straw sippy cup for milk
We have these cups and we do put the straws in the dishwasher if we soaked them before, if not we use
