Growth sono yesterday (and a question about transverse baby)

So I had my 30 week growth sono yesterday and baby is measuring at approximately 3.5 lbs Chat Icon. Everything is looking good thank goodness. With my 1st pregnancy, this 30 week appt ended up being my last since I went into labor a little over 2 weeks later Chat Icon. Hoping and praying that is not the case this time Chat Icon

Now for my question...The sono tech did tell me that the baby is in a transverse position (my 1st was already head down at this point). She said it is nothing to worry about at this point but I was just curious for anyone who had either a transverse or breech baby around this point, if and when they turned to a head down position? Also, did you do anything to help them turn or did they just do it on their own?

Thanks!

Re: Growth sono yesterday (and a question about transverse baby)

DS was transverse for a WHILE!!! I do believe though by 30 weeks he had gone to head down...

although the dr's and tech told me that 30 weeks would have still been OK...I think they said by 8 months they would hope to see him head down

oh and i didnt have to do anything to move him, he did on his own :)

DS was still breech at that point... He turned before 36 weeks, I can't remember exactly when though. We didn't have to do anything - he just did it on his own.

H. was transverse throughout my pregnancy w/ the boys. I had a c/s. He wouldn't turn, plus the dr had some concerns about the fluid around G., so she just did a c/s.

At 34 weeks this baby was transverse and has since gone head down which was cofirmed today.

My DS was breech at 36 weeks and flipped head down by 37 weeks.

I wouldn't worry about it yet.

My DC was transverse up until last week, right before 34 weeks.

All three of my children were transverse. #1 was still @ 37 weeks, so they had me go in for a version (When they press on your belly to turn the baby). Thank god they did a sono before and she was head down. She did end up going back sideways though and stayed that way. Both #2 and #3 were transverse my entire pregnancy and never turned. I had three c/s.

Re: Growth sono yesterday (and a question about transverse baby)

All my babies were transverse or head up at 30 weeks.

DC#1 never flipped, he was breech until he was born at 37+ weeks. Born via c/s because of it.

DC#2 was breech until about 34-35 weeks. I totally felt her flip over in my belly one night. It was the most surreal feeling. I thought she would come out of my belly button. I was able to have a VBAC.

DC#3 was also breech until about 33-34 weeks. I didn't feel the flip, but one day, everyone started commenting to me at work that I had dropped. Sure enough, my next visit showed the baby was head down. Looking more and more like another v-birth, unless I am overdue, in which case it will be a scheduled c/s.
