Had the twins!
Pregnancy summary:
Got pregnant with twins via IVF. Started with a fairly low beta, had SCH causing bleeding from 7 weeks to 18 weeks. At 20 weeks, they thought they saw an amniotic band. At 21w6d went to high-risk where I found out there was NO amniotic band, but my cervix was extremely short. I was admitted to the hospital that day where I found out I was contracting 10+ times/hour (that I didn't know about). At 22w, I had a cerclage placed. I stayed in the hospital until 22w5d to get contractions under control. From that point, I was released home on strict bed rest with just bathroom privileges, and taking Nifedipene every 4 hours. I stayed on bed rest and ended up in the hospital 4 times with contractions. I was able to get a shot of terbutaline each time and go home. At 34w3d, I went for my last appointment with the high-risk, where I found out that my fluid levels on Baby A were a bit low and that the babies weren't growing as well as they should be. So, to our surprise... they scheduled a c-section for 34w5d.
BUT... as usual, these babies were not going to do what was expected of them! On Tuesday (34w4d) - Valentine's Day - the day that I was going to get EVERYTHING done before babies were set to come... I started having tons and tons of contractions. When I timed them, they were every 4 minutes consistently, with some every 2 minutes. I decided to head over to the hospital and when they checked me... I was 1.5 cm dilated and my cerclage was loose and starting to tear. They said they wanted to get these babies out within the hour!
I had a c-section and at 8:09 and 8:10 pm (PST), Stella and Hudson were born! Stella was 5 lbs, 2 ounces and Hudson was 5 lbs, 6 ounces. They both had to go to the NICU and are still there. I was discharged yesterday.
