Feeling so many emotions right now

So many things are going through my mind right now like how my DD is going to handle a new sibling and how I am going to handle a newborn and a 20 month old. I am getting anxiety just thinking how my days are going to be... I won't even have time to breathe. And I am also stressing about L&D also . I am just a mess right now. Don't get me wrong I am super excited to meet my LO but I can't help feeling this way. I guess it is hitting me that in a few days I will be a mom of 2!! I am just a nervous wreck right now but I just have to tell myself that once I am holding that baby in my arms everything will be okay! Thanks for letting me vent !

awww I have been really anxious about my new lo coming and having my son ~ how he will deal with it. (he seems excited now but I don't think he really grasps how his life is really going to change) Sometimes I feel guilty how much his life is going to change!

Re: Feeling so many emotions right now

I am right there with you. I still have 15 weeks to go and I am freaking out. How am I going to give dd who will only be 21 months old the time and attention she needs while caring for a newborn. My biggest concerns are leaving her while I am in the hospital. I have never left her for more than 4 hrs. I cry a lot thinking about not being able to put her bed at night for 4 days while I have my repear c-sec. I am worried how dd while act once she realizes dd2 is staying with us for good. I am so thrilled to be having another one but I can't help but to feel scared and nervous about what is going to come my way.

I am nervous about this too ~ I have never been away from DS (he has done an overnight with grammy twice in the 3 1/2 years he has been here ~ plus I am having a c-section and will be away for a few days.

Re: Feeling so many emotions right now

I am going to feel the same when my time comes. I am most sad about my relationship with my DD changing. I cherish every moment we have together and love our life as a family of 3 +furbaby! I am happy to be having a second baby, and happy my DD will have a sibling but I think I just resist change and fear the unknown.

Wishing you all the best in your final countdown. I know there will be challenges but know we are here for you and will be looking to you for words of wisdom in a few short months. Chat Icon

Re: Feeling so many emotions right now

I went through all of those emotions (times 1000) in the beginning of this pregnancy. I was SOO happy we got pregnant on the first try, but then I felt so much guilt towards DD and fear of how the heck I would handle the 2 year difference. I was a basketcase for weeks! As time went on and I watched DD grow into a little person more and more every day, the excitement has taken over! I no longer look at her as this little baby who's life I was ruining by having another child. I look at her as a little girl who is about to have a built-in playmate! Anytime I get sad and think she is still my baby (which she will always be!) I just have to step back and look at her and realize, she's growing up and will (hopefully) love having a sibling close in age!

Jut wanted to let you know you're not alone! Chat Icon
