love all the responses! and my gosh sounds like there's going to be another baby boom

For us, dh will have 2 years left to retire (he's 8 years older than me but I told him if he's retiring so am I!!!) and we will be getting ready to move to FL, preferably with a caravan full of furbabies

I think it's interesting that some people love LI and some are planning to leave.

I am just trying to get through today-lol....

Kids will be 23 and 18 so dh and I might be empty-nesters.

Still working of course as we would only be in our 50's and I am sure in the same house as it won't be that small anymore once the kids are on their own--

DD will be 10
Hopefully with a 7-8 yo younger brother or sister
We'll have dormered our house and expanded the kitchen (or perhaps moved to a new house?)
DH will be 5 years away from retirement
I'll still be working, because most days I do enjoy what I do.

My DS will be 10 and he will have a younger bro or sis who is 8 or 9.

I will be a partner in my firm, a part-time partner!!

If I am living in NY I will be in the same house because it is my forever home and I would rather buy a vacation home and pay for college than upgrade.

My husband keeps telling me that everyone in his company is going to lose their job and if that does happen we may move down South and if we do I might be retired in 10 years.

God Willing we all stay healthy and happy in 10 years we will:

Probably be in the same house. Don't want to leave our district.

DH will still be working.

I'll be working PT while kids are in school.

Maybe, we'll have a time share somewhere (like Disney).

We will already have seen Vegas, CA, and maybe Hawaii.

That year (in Oct. of 2022) we will be celebrating our 23rd Wedding Anniversary.

In 10 years...

DH and I will be together for 20 years..

DS's will be 15 and 13

DD will be 10


We will by then be (cross fingers) making way more money than we are now.

Perhaps we will own a home by then again.

All I can hope for is to still have our health and our parents health still be in tact 10 years from now. I want my kids to grow up happy and taken care of well with lots of family around them

I will be re-married

We will have 1 (maaaaaybe 2) more children, God willing

We will be in our dream home in the same town we are in now

I will be back in the cosmetic industry (I switched industries this year but ultimately I want to go back) making much better money than I was before

These are my *hopes* but if I've learned anything in the past 2 1/2 years, it's that life changes and doesnt always go according to plan. Just have to roll with the punches

My oldest daughter will be 14
My twin daughters will be 11

We will still be in our house, and hopefully we will have had some great renovation work done.

I'll be a tenured professor in my department and still be loving my job.

And hopefully I'll still have all my wonderful family members and friends in my life.

10 years from now, DH & I will be will be turning 40, and married for 15 years.

We might have a few kids by then... not sure. That's the big question.

We'll both be working, DH still in education & me still at my job but promoted at least once by then.

We'll probably live in the same house we're in now, but by then all our renovations will be done & it will be the way we want it.

We will still enjoy traveling & seeing the world... and still running a lot & enjoying our hobbies together.

Hopefully we & our close family members will continue to be in good health & we will get to enjoy spending our time together with them as well.

This totally freaked me out cause my son will be turning 18 yrs old and jus the thought of being near 50 is not fun. HMM

I don't know what the future hold for my personal life- I hope I am remarried- but knowing me I could be married more then once in 10 years

My business goals include stopping selling houses by 40 (about 5 years) and starting on the next part of my real estate career- speaking, teaching and investing/flipping houses-

My kids will be 12, 15 & 20.
Im hoping we will be living in FL and I wont need to work, maybe just part time.
DH will have been retired for 6 years.

DH will be retired, and we will just be making the move to Florida to hopefully our dream home (back home for me....yay!!!). DS will be turning 12 that year, and we will have a 10 year old. Hoping to also have a 7 or 8 year old too I will still be a SAHM, but do photography on the side (probably fine art). I will finally have my darkroom AND have horses again!

God willing, I will be a mother. I can't even stand to speculate on what that will look like in 10 years.

I hope to still be happily married to DH.

I hope we'll have finished the attic into a master suite and the basement into a mancave/rec room.

I hope I'll have found some way to still be a good teacher and make the workload and drag on personal time manageable within a regular life, which it currently is NOT.

-DH and I will still be working (hopefully I will be in a partner or management position at my firm or other place)
- No kids since we are CF so we plan to travel extensively
- live in a bigger home, more toys (cars)

My DS will be 15 and 12, which in and of itself is hard to imagine. I will hopefully still be teaching dance right where I am now- I've got a good thing going. DH will probably stil be a programmer and will have hopefully improved his golf game. I would think we have a nice large savings and are casually tossing around te idea of early retirement, which in all likely hood won't take place for another 15 on top of the 10 years we're talking about.

We will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary somewhere on the beach (getting married 6 months from now!)

We will have a couple of kids.

I'd love to be working part time, but with benefits.

no idea.
i have had 7 different addresses in 5.5 years.

Renting now in a school district that is getting rezoned this week.
Guess what happens next??? another address change.

i never imagined we would be so nomadic.
dh is really good at what he does, keeps getting relocated...so i would imagine we still have 2 more big moves in us before we hit the point income wise in where we want to be.
