When did you set an official bedtime? schedule?

At what age did you set an official bedtime for your LO? And how did you decide a time?

My LO is 6 weeks old.. is that too young?

Yes, too young.

I followed my DDs lead and paid attention to her sleeping habits and when she was acting tired. Based her bedtime around that. Once she STTN at 8 wks old it was easier to be more routine about her bedtime. Chat Icon

I started about that age with a bedtime routine. They are a little too young, but after a week she was sleeping 8 hr stretches. So I think it helped. I didn't set a bedtime that early though, just did the routine when she seemed tired anytime after 7. At about 10 weeks she had a bedtime.

From birth I would give the boys a bath and nurse them to bed at the same time every night. It was early or a nb and he would still wake up at like 11 to eat but now at 9 months that is his bedtime

About 7 weeks. It has been the best thing we ever decided to do and DS goes down without a peep at that time every night.

How would you schedule your last "daytime' feed to coincide withyour Lo's bedtime?

Re: When did you set an official bedtime? schedule?

He eats about every 3 hours (6oz).

His 2nd to last bottle is at 3:30 / 4pm (6 oz)

His last bottle is at 6:30 / 6:45 and we give him 8 oz.

He goes down at 7pm and wakes about 8am.

He never STTN (that long) until we decided to go with a schedule. I read the earlier they go to bed the better and later they sleep. I dont know how well that works for every baby but it has been 100% on point with our DS.
