Vacationing and packing food for a baby
Do you pack the babyfood and formula or buy everything there?
I know it depends on where you're going?
I figured for Aruba We'll take a container of the Similac and some babyfood pouches then buy food there.
Also, do you pack all the diapers too?
I feel like one whole suitcase is going to be dedicated for just the boys stuff!! DIapers, food, sippy cups, bottles, dispencers, lotions, butt creams, etc.

I usually pack enough for the flight and maybe the first day and then buy everything there to make it easier.

Re: Vacationing and packing food for a baby
If I'm traveling in the US I just bring some stuff and buy whatever I need there. If I'm going to the Caribbean I bring my stuff from home. I tried to buy baby food in Aruba and while they did have some, they didn't have a large assortment. But it's a personal preference because I'm sure an island that has so many tourists does carry alot of baby stuff. But if you are specific, I would bring your own.

We have only taken the kids in the US. I usually pack enough for one full day and buy everything else there.

Re: Vacationing and packing food for a baby
When we went to the caribbean with DS#1 when he ws a baby, I packed EVERYTHING including bottled water and a water boiler to sanitize his bottles. In hindsight, that was silly.
Now I just take formula, diapers and wipes. I buy food and water when we get there.

Re: Vacationing and packing food for a baby
We went to Aruba in December. I packed all my diapers, formula and food (baby was 7 months old). He had his own suitcase. I didn't know how close the supermarket would be (we stayed at the Marriott) and didn't want to have to worry about getting there, what their selection would be, etc. It worked having everything with me because I didn't have to worry about anything (other than the suitcase not making it!). I bought water there. Don't forget to bring a little bottle of dish soap and your bottle brush to clean your stuff. Have a great time!

Re: Vacationing and packing food for a baby
I brought everything with me. I didn't know what they had. From earth's best I bought the single packets of rice cereal. Then I bought the pouches of baby food. The formula was probably the heaviest even thought it was powder. I also brought with me 4 or 5 ready to feed 8oz containers for the plane. When I got down there I bought bottled water to mix the bottles.
