Perfect house for me would be a 4 bedroom Ranch,with a Open floor plan, with a full finished basement, Walk in Closets, 2 bathrooms and a huge backyard!!!

4 or 5 bedrooms
living room
dining room
eat in kitchen
den
basement
play room for the kids
upstairs laundry room
downstairs utility room/workshop for DH/man cave
Access to a pool but not in my backyard
great school district
affordable taxes
nice neighbors

i love high ceilings, an open floor plan, a bath for every bedroom, walk in closets, a balcony, and a stretch of land so big, you can barely see your neighbors.

I'd love 4+ bedrooms, wrap around porch and huge picture windows facing a gorgeous body of water on at least an acre.
I love Victorian houses, but would now go for a ranch.

This but it would also have to have a big kitchen with center island, and a living room and den (so I could have a main floor playroom for my LOs)

Huge Victorian, like an old Victorian mansion with a big wrap around porch on the water.
Thick moldings, tons of charm and period details like stain glass, old doors with glass knobs, subway tiles, hexagon tiles in the bathroom, marble counter tops, farmhouse sink, wide plank wood floors, fireplace in the family room and master bedroom
Also some modern amenities such as a master suite with master bath having a claw foot tub with separate shower with multiple shower heads, two sinks. Also a huge walk in closet.
A bedroom for each DS with a jack and jill bathroom for them.
A spare bedroom for guests
A mudroom
A laundry room
A pantry in the kitchen
Huge dining room for plenty of entertaining

Something like the 1902 Victorian my parents rent. Complete with 3 full floors, wrap around porch, huge yard, full basement, etc.
On the north shore of LI, with a water view.

Pretty close to what I have no (because I designed a good portion of it)
We have the master suite on the opposite side of the house to DC's bedrooms. All bedrooms are upstairs. Separate office with outside door (that can be made into an "apartment" for DC when they get older). Full basement with 2 entrances. Library/study room. 3 full baths, possibly going to 4 at some point. Solar panels.
I do wish the front door was at ground level, and I wish I had an attached garage. Otherwise, I really love my current house.
