I had the same exact experience around 17 weeks - word for word -AFP - two 20 week sonograms - blood clots ..except for the kidneys but I read so much on here others with enlarged kidneys (Especially with boys) and all was fine. they said my placenta had blood clots and put me on 1 baby aspirin a day -ask your dr about this- would it help the blood clots? My dr has done a lot of sonograms to monitor baby and will soon do non-stress tests weekly to continue monitoring growth. so far everything has been fine ..33 weeks now. FM me anytime
