I use both the defroster and ice scraper.

Re: How do you clear frost of the car windshield?
I was told from the dealer that auto starts aren't recommended for my car and will void my warranty. I also don't see how it would work for me because my foot needs to be on the brake to start the car. But it doesn't stop me for lusting after one, haha.
I run out and start the car and let the defroster go at it. The saving grace is that my car warms up fast

Is it a manual or automatic? I've never heard of an auto not being able to have a remote start. What type of vehicle is it?
It would be very simple to tap into the car's system to not require the brake to start the car. Most remote starts can bypass the requirement to have a special key with a chip in it to start the car.

If I'm using my car- remote start with the defroster on.
DH's car- his remote start isn't working so I run out and turn the car on.

Re: How do you clear frost of the car windshield?
Most the time I forget to go out and actually start my car, and I don't have remote start. Sooooo 9 times out of 10 I am scraping away in the morning!

Re: How do you clear frost of the car windshield?
I run out 10 minutes before I need to leave and start the car and run the defroster. No remote start here!

Re: How do you clear frost of the car windshield?
I run out and start it 10 minutes before I leave DH leaves way earlier than me and a remote start would probably cost more than my car

Re: How do you clear frost of the car windshield?
I park in the garage...since my DH works from home and doesn't drive in the morning, I can put my car in the garage during the week so I don't have to do the grunt work.
