getaway question
money is stupid tight but i would love to be able to get away with dh for a night or two.
our hearts are in jamaica lol but that aint happenening.
i am due the end of april/beginning of may
does anyone have suggestions for a fun place to go that doesnt break the bank?
we love gambling...but saving our money for baby.
so since i cant drink my tropical drinks on the beach i just dont know what to look into.
would love a place with a big old bathtub for my preggo self and nice dining.
maybe this is a stupid post but any thoughts ..we are on long island :) ty

It depends on what you want to spend and when you want to go. We did Turks and Caicos in Sept for 4 nights, hotel and flights and it was $1200 for two of us.
If you want to do really really local, Viana Hotel is really nice, has HUGE Jacuzzi tubs and spa services onsite. Its in Westbury.
You could also do a trip to the Poconos. We had the best cheesy fun at Paradise Stream...Champagne tub, heart shaped pool, mirrored ceilings, etc. It was great. Also, its close to Mt. Airy just in case you did want to gamble just a little.
We were looking at going up to Equinox Resort in Vermont. It looks beautiful and peaceful.

There are some nice resorts in the poconos. It's pricey, but if you went for one night it wouldn't be bad! There are many that are all inclusive.
We went to the Cesars Resorts.. I think they're pretty well known. Our room was equipped with it's own hot tub AND swimming pool!!  It also has a circular king sized bad with a starlit ceiling. There are different types of rooms depending on your price range.. The nicest class of rooms has a champagne hot tub where you sit in the champagne glass on the second floor and the stem goes all the way down to the first floor- all private and in your room. If you aren't on pelvic rest at the time, I recommend this place as a little getaway!! 
It's a tad cheesy.. we went after we got engaged.. You just gotta go with a good sense of humor and assumption that the housekeeping service cleans VERY well between guests!!

Yes, this is the one I was talking about. I think there are a few. We did Paradise Stream but I know there is Cove Haven and the one you were at.
DH loved the starlight ceiling!!

Ha!! I just scrolled up and read yours, I didn't even realize at first you mentioned the Poconos too!! We went to Cove Haven and one other..
If you get past the idea that it's a tad seedy, it's actually a lot of fun!!
