What will your baby sleep in when they first come home?
Just trying to decide what I will do...

I plan on using the graco travel lite crib/pack n play as a bassinet until he/she starts sleeping through the night... Def didnt want a bassinet bc you dont use it for very long so this crib seems to do double duty... At least thats the plan

ours sleeps in the rock n play in our room - its portable, folds up and we are now transitioning it into his room to get him used to sleep in there before we totally put him in his crib for the night

DD slept in the swing/bouncer. DS slept in the cradle. So I will have all ready.

We're getting a bassinet but if he sleeps better in the swing, rock and play ect. we'll use that.

Bassinet, but my DC #1 didn't like it so he's been sleeping in his crib since he was 2 months old.

In a cradle in our room just like DS did. We transferred him in the crib at 12 weeks. I'll do the same this time, as long as  is STTN. For naps, I use the bassinet part on the PNP in the living room.

My fist DS slept in the Co-sleeper bassinet for the first 5 months. Then he went into the crib.
I plan to do the same with this one, but I'm also going to buy the Rock and play sleeper. I may try that one out as well, if he is not doing well with the bassinet.
I BF DS and plan on doing the same for this baby. It was much easier to have them in my room right next to me.

DD is in the rock n play, she's 7.5 weeks. Cradle didn't work. Pack n play didn't work. We will start transitioning her to her crib soon.

but doesn't that apply to any flat surface that they sleep on? which is why changing head poisition and tummy time is suggested.

I want to put LO in the crib right away. Our house is very small, the nursery and our room are on the 1st floor. DH wants to put LO in a bassinet in our room. I dont see the point of this but am willing not to make any decisions until we are further along.

Bassinet or pack and play, whatever he is more comfortable with. Ds #1 didn't like the bassinet, so we put him in the pack and play bassinet.
