Back Pain? Come on in..
How do you ladies deal with it? I've had it for weeks and weeks and it's only getting worse by the day.
I've tried heat with some relief, but I don't like to apply heat often. Tylenol has done nothing, so I'm not going to take it for no reason. DH bought me this crazy massager, but I got nervous that it was shaking the baby. My commute doesn't help.
What are some things that you girls do?

my back is killing me right now. The chairs at my job are not the most comfortable so I just have a pillow but that doesn't seem to work either. ughhh

Re: Back Pain? Come on in..
are you able to stretch during the day? What helps me is going to the gym during lunch break and using the whole hour to stretch out my legs (hamstrings) and back

I periodically get up and stretch. Usually over a table or a chair.

Ice pack from the second I get home until I get up in the morning. It's the only thing that helps me.

Re: Back Pain? Come on in..
I am only about 6wks 4 days along but I am already starting yoga. I have 2 compressed discs and whiplash on both sides of my neck due to a number of accidents and falls throughout my life. I was told when I was 19 yrs old that pregnancy would be difficult on my back. I dont know how far long you are but maybe if you even learned a few safe stretches that you could do each day, its amazing how that can lessen some of the pain.
Good Luck!

Re: Back Pain? Come on in..
I was having terrible back pain for a few weeks to the point that even working was getting difficult. Someone suggested, as silly as it seems, to make sure that every second I'm at my desk (which is all day) that I am sitting up as straight as possible. It seemed like such a small thing, but I swear it has made all the difference. Hope it helps and you feel better!

My chiro reccomends using an icepack. It helps more than the heat, I think.

Re: Back Pain? Come on in..
Yes!!! with this pregnancy I have intense sciatica pain - I didn't have it at all with my first.
I find some sitting positions bring on acute pain - if I sit on the floor or if I sit back on my tailbone too much it sets off. I can't get up from a seated position because its an intense pain that goes down my legs.... kind of different than regular back pain.
I use heat every night and by the next day its gone.
