Re: Show me your stroller
I have the zippy and i like it alot..
FYI: If you are planning to not use your stroller until after the snap n go , I would suggest you wait...
Reason is that the Zippy I got before the baby was born was gotten last summer by the beginning of the year, they already had come out with the new model wich had a tray and a cup holder that mine didn't have. I didn't even use this stroller until he was 6 months 9 hence I couldn't return it beccause I did not have the receipt, got it on amazon...) .... This is something you should think about before you put it on your registries because it might be sitting in your basement for a while....

Re: Show me your stroller
as you can tell I had a bit of a stroller obsession for a while! There are a few websites that I can give you that are really helpful if you want to very seriously look into it. THere is so much out there it gets overwhelming. THe problem with pegs that I found were that the plastic wheels can not be fixed if they break and arent as durable. This falls for almost all american made strollers except the bumbleride which is based on european strollers with the air tires. Bumbleride was started by a mom and dad who like me, was frustrated with the american stroller market. They took our designs and combined it with european (its basicaly stroll-air rip off if you check those out) but they are based in San Fransico. I liked that I can call them up and I heard their customer service is really helpful and great (unlike if I got a european stroller- who knows who I would speak to) I wound up going with that one, they are a new company so they dont have much by way of reviews. OK DH is calling, be back later!
eta- you might want to go to brooklyn if your really looking into prams

I would love it if you could share those websites- never really thought about the wheels- though that makes a lot of sense. I love the Bumbleride styling- I just wish it had a child snack tray.

Yeah the snack tray thing is kinda a pain. When I was looking into it, they said that European strollers dont survive in the American market b/c we expect things like snack trays and cupholders etc for Mom always on the go, walking around drinking starbucks whereas European women will sit and have a cup of coffee at a cafe...just cultural differences leading to different market tastes. Also, European strollers (like the bugaboo) are expensive b/c they dont have the disposible society that we have. They spend on one stroller what we would could get 2 or 3 strollers for, looking for lasting strollers whereas we look to replace and upgrade etc. Someone also said that European strollers (ex. bugaboo again) are more vibrant in colors b/c their market can be individualized to a specific type of person whereas American companies are trying to please the New Yorker and the South Dakotan person at the same time with black, navy and other common and somewhat bland colors.

Re: Show me your stroller
Thats so funny...all the bugaboos I have seen have been beige and black! Mine is aubergine, but most people do stick with black.
