Cool toys for Xmas/Bday for a 1 yr old???
DD will be 1 this Saturday! 
We're looking for a couple of smaller toys that she might like?
So far she's getting the FP Laugh n' Learn house, a push car for outside (ride in) thing, a ride-on for inside and stuffed dolls.
I have no clue what else to get her at her age? I don't want anything that is for up to age 1, but age 1 and up.
Any ideas?

DS was born 4 days after Christmas so the "combo" of both together is hard. we didnt get him a lot because we felt he didnt need much and honestly wouldnt know the difference. He did get a lot of 12+ month gifts. So he could play with them over the course of the year. It was nice every few months taking something out of the closet for him to have something new to play with.

DS turns 1 this Saturday as well. I am going to wait and see what he gets for his birthday. I bought him 1 big gift for his birthday and plan to buy him some smaller things for Christmas. I just feel like he is going to get so much for his birthday so I'd rather wait and see.

Unfortunately, no one really acknowledges my kids or us for birthdays, holidays, special occasions or even throughout the year, so it's pretty much up to us to get them things. That's why it's always expensive for us. 
I'm not even talking about presents, I mean cards a phone call, NOTHING. Oh well...

Melissa and Doug Peg puzzles...My kids got them at that age and still play with them! I got a bunch for Christmas on Amazon..I think they are on sale at AC Moore this week!
