I was supposed to be an October mom again
but DD2 decided to follow big sisters footsteps and be a week late born 11/2/11. DD1 came on day of induction on her own. DD2 I made it to induction I was contracting irregularly and 3cm dilated when i got to the hospital so they started me on pitocin. Contractions got bad and I was 4-5cm and got epidural. When I got to 9.5 cm, md had me push less than 15 min
(dh says like 7, but I wasn't paying attention)...out came my 9lb 9.5oz and 21 in, baby Sofia. Total induction was about 6 hours. Epidural worked through pushing this time around and it was great! No tearing or epistiotomy and recovery was great compared to last time.
Sadly, she had to be hospitalized twice due to fevers with spinal taps and all. All tests came back negative so the ruling was she had some viruses...so be careful everyone this time of year istough with the holidays and a lot of people being sick...We are home now and doing well for no fevers till she is at least 2 mos old.

Congratulations! I'm sorry you've had a rocky couple of weeks! Many prayers that she stays strong and healthy here on out
