Getting your tubes tied

Who is doing this during/after delivery?

We are on baby #3 and I really think this is it for us. I am 99.8% sure

How do YOU know you are ready to be done?

I am - we're on #3 as well.

So many reasons why but the concrete ones are:

-Getting DH to even agree to #3 was difficult; #4 would send him running

-This will be my third section and from all that I've read / learned, that really should be the lifetime maximum. With 3 kids at home, I don't have the luxury of testing the safety risks.

-I'll be 33 when I have this baby and I'm TIRED!

-Everyone in my family seems to get 1 more child than the number they settle on - many later years oops pregnancies. Based on all of the above, I don't want to chance that.

this baby will make baby number two for us. Me and dh are happy with that number

also financial reasons we dont think we would be able to live comfortably with 3

and a month after i give birth to this baby i will be turning 37 and my dh will be 40. NOT saying that its old but for us we are just done LOL

We are like 99% positive that we are done after these babies (#2 and #3 for us) but I will not be getting my tubes tied.

I just don't like the finality of it. Anything can happen in life! I don't want to make this decision too early. Also, two other big reasons are that I'm only 27 and I dealt with tons of IF treatments for my first AND second pregnancies so we probably wouldn't even get pregnant on our own if we tried (although I'm not saying we aren't going to use bc!)
