Re: Leap Pad Question-I don't understand...

My first suggestion is take it out and set it up BEFORE you give it to her as a gift. This way it's ready to go and she can have at it. That's what I did for my DD.

It comes with a few preloaded games but it also accepts ANY of the Leapster Explorer games. I got my DD 2 of those games but it's too much of a hassle to change out the cartridges so I keep one in and then I downloaded a bunch of games from the Leap Pad site that are permanently on there.

The Leap Pad site has some nice games ranging in price from $5 to around $25. I downloaded to my DD's Leap Pad a set of interactive flash cards, a cooking game, an interactive Disney story book and a few other things.

She is 3 and LOOOOOVES her Leap Pad. She loves not only playing the games but taking pics and video and playing in the art studio. It's a great toy! Your DD will LOVE it!

Re: Leap Pad Question-I don't understand...

is it really worth it? i cant get over that most of the "apps" are $25 that i saw when i looked into their prices. most of the ones DD would be interested are anyway.
i would be spending $80+tax on the system then to buy any new apps just adds to the price of the thing.
she has a DS that she is into right now (mine that i dont use anymore)

I have a rain cheque for the sale price at walmart in our flyer....i am still on the fence though
