How can I be sure?
Hi ladies, this is probably a silly question (chalk it up to being a first timer).
Next week I have my 16 week appointment. No sonos, just blood work, bp, and weight check. This may sound morbid but how will I know that nothing aweful has happened in the last four weeks? My pregnancy has been an easy one. I'm not sick, I'm not showing yet, and it's too early to feel movements. Will they listen for a heart beat or do we just assume everything is fine until my 20 week appointment?

I'm pretty sure they will use a fetal doppler to check the heartbeat.
My doc does a quick sono at every visit, but most don't.

They will definately listen for a heart beat. My drs office gave me a sono at 16 weeks. but alot dont. Dont worry everything is fine!

Yep! Every visit my OB listens for the heartbeat on a doppler!

I just went for my 16w appt last night & they did the doppler to listen to the baby's hb
