One h3ll of a morning...

So I get up at 4:45am everyday for work. This morning I decide to have a bagel with cream cheese at 6am, but choose not to have my 3rd period pb&j because I was not hungry. So I get into my classroom and have a convo with a student and out of nowhere my knees start shaking, the room starts spinning and I get an almost immediate raging headache. I ask one of my kids to run for the nurse... The nurse gets to me takes my blood pressure. It's too high. I get wheeled down to her office. And she takes it again. Still to high. DH is called to pick me up and bring me to the OB. I get there. My bp is fine and back down. But I still have that frigging headache and I still feel super dizzy.
Diagnosis: dehydration. Uh duh!! I hadn't had a thing to drink since 5am. My blood sugar was super low and my bp was sky rocketed. Bad combo.

So my PSA for today: be sure you are drinking enough and eating enough protein. Don't experience what I had. It s u c k s and is super scary!!
