Don't just complain over the phone. Complain via twitter:

I just took my broken machine back to BBB. They took it back- no problem!

Did you get yours at BBB? If so, I would just return it back to them and save yourself all of this trouble!

I would call back again and hopefully get a new customer service person explain to them that the machine has hardly been used...if they tell you to descale ask them WHY you would have to descale like the pp said it is to remove deposits from water...no water = no reason to descale. I know BBB by me will not take things back without a box. Good luck! Hopefully you will get someone who can possibly help you fix the machine on the phone.

So I told her that I descaled the machine 2 months ago when I took it out of storage to use it, and that it worked FINE for the 2 months, and then just stopped. Also, my machine NEVER said to descale. She goes on to say that I should have been descaling it every 3-6 months even though it was not in use.Chat Icon Chat Icon Seriously...if this is even true, why doesnt it say this in the storage directions in the manual??? I questioned this, and she responded by telling me that they cant put every little detail in the manual!

hmmm that seems like a pretty important detail... if this is what happens when you dont descale it every 3-6 months...
