An opportunity to help a stranger (sad story - but please help out!)
I sent out my card today - this was posted on the Backwoods Mom Blog:
I’m asking my readers for a favor tonight. Nathan Puckett is a terminally ill 16 yr old boy who’s mom is a reader of this blog. Sadly, Nathan is under the care of hospice and his family is spending every minute with him they possibly can as they hold on to ever memory, every touch, every second of their time left with him.
Because of his illness, Nathan’s joys are simple. He has a love of MUSICAL CARDS and will play them over and over until the battery fades. It doesn’t matter what kind of card…just it plays some kind of music. I’m asking the readers here to ...spend a few bucks on a musical card and drop it in the mail to Nathan. His family will find great solace in receiving those cards and watching Nathan spend his last moments with a smile on his face. Please…do this quickly. Time is imperative to this family.
