Newborn mommies: Feeding Question

How many ounces of formula does your newborn take in one sitting, and how old?

I know the whole 2.5 ounces per pound in a day thing, but just looking for amount in one feeding.

Thanks!!!!

Re: Newborn mommies: Feeding Question

My almost 3 month old will take between 4-6 ounces each feeding. Currently her schedule is:

7am
11am
3pm
7pm
and then sometimes another 2oz around 9pm if needed...

Mine is about the same, 4 to 6 oz. He wakes up once during the night usually around 4am for a bottle as well.

Re: Newborn mommies: Feeding Question

My 2 week old eats about 3oz every 2-3 hours. I'm wondering if this is more than the norm myself.

My almost 4 month old is taking 5-6 oz in one sitting. Usually 6. He's been taking that much since just before he turned 3 months old.

Re: Newborn mommies: Feeding Question

my almost 3 month old takes about 4oz each time. that's what we usually fill her bottles for. sometimes she drinks less but grazes... she will drink 2 oz and then 30 mins later want the other 2 oz.

when she was new new... she was drinking 2oz forever, then she went to 3 oz and now she's at 4oz. on occasion she will drink 5 or 6oz.
