NPR: HELP! if you take the pill

I forgot to take my pill for the last 3 days.

I started my period on August 31 (if that matters).

OMG, I'm freaking out. If I missed 3 pills, does that mean there's a chance I could get pg?? (Yes, we BD'd)

Should I take those pills? Should I call my dr?

I'm freaking out.

Do you know where you are in your cycle?

if 72 hours...you may have just a bit of time left to take the morning-after pill, which you can purchase over-the-counter.

Its possible but not likely. If your period started on 8/31, say it was 5 days, that puts you at 9/5, and would put you on cycle day 9 today. Its not unheard of to O that early, but its definitely not the norm. My guess is you are most likely in the clear, but everyone is different so no one can say for sure.

I agree with the PP - possible, but not likely. And it doesn't matter where you are in your "cycle" when you're on the pill, because you have no cycle. It's a synthetic hormone that stops your typical cycle. You dont ovulate. Stopping the pill (when you take your "sugar"/placebo pills) for 1 wk tells your body it's ok to shed your uterine lining. If you are really nervous, you could call your doctor and get an Rx for the Plan B, but if living with a very small chance you are PG is feesable, then I would just double up on the pill for the next 3 days.

I am nervous because I got pg unexpectedly with DD around day 6 of my cycle. I wasn't on the pill or using any birth cointrol...but didn't expect to get pg at that time in my cycle, since I kept very careful track and usually ovulated right around day 14.

Anyway, I have a call into the doctor to see what to do.

I would go get plan b asap to be safe. no prescription necessary.

I think it's too late to take the missed pills :( I know you can take up to three as soon as you realize, but it sounds like you'd be taking 4 in one day.
