Kieran drinks around 25-30 ounces a day. All day long! Lol, he's a milk fiend! He always has a sippy full of milk (9 ounces) with breakfast, which he usually finishes. He gets a sippy with his other 2 meals, but doesn't always finish the whole thing. Then, he usually has another full sippy at bedtime.

ped warned that over 18oz could put him in danger for iron based anemia.. which was fine with DS because he seems to always have hated milk/formula. I think he might have had 8oz today total plus yogurt.

http://www.nichd.nih.gov/milk/prob/calcium_need.cfm if their only source of calcium is milk, they really only need no more than 1.5 cups = 12 oz.

eta: I offer milk, in the morning, in the afternoon after his nap, and an hour before bedtime. He gets a bath and brushes his teeth and then goes to bed.

Not much. DD isn't really a milk kid. I add ovaltine to make it more like a healthy chocolate milk.

She was drinking maybe 4 ounces in the morning and maybe 4 at night. Thats a high estimate.

None. They refused it from a sippy and the ped says as long as they eat yogurt/cheese/ice cream they're fine. I tried EVERYTHING and they just wouldn't do it. One will actually sometimes drink a Horizon box but that's about it.

DD is 18 months and has around 14 ounces a day (6oz in the AM and 8 before bed). That doesnt include yogurt and cheese though (she loves both). We are going to try to get rid of the bottle for milk soon, so my Ped said since she eats dairy, if we take the bottle away and she stops drinking milk, it's fine.

About 12 oz in the morning and maybe 10-12 at night. It's a lot but she loves it so I can't take it away from her Chat Icon

At 15 months dd is drinking up to about 18 oz a day. The cups are 9 ozs but I don't fill them up all the way.

This is DD too! She LOVES milk! She takes 6 oz sippy when she gets up, 6 in the afternoon and 6 before bed. She asks (demands) it all 3 times so I can't see taking any of them away. DS hated milk the minute I took his bottle away so I'm not use to this! Chat Icon

It varied. My DD at that point was mostly drinking when she ate meals, some days she would drink throughout the day too. Some days she would guzzle her whole sippy in one shot, other times it would last her a while. By that age I wasn't keeping track of how much (or when) she was drinking anymore as milk was not her primary form of nutrition. It just didn't matter to keep track of that or not.
