Blinderman and King or Dr. Ramirez at Island OBGYN in Massapequa
Has anyone used these doctors? I have heard mixed reviews about King and Blinderman but nothing about Ramirez. Im thinking of switching at 16 weeks since my current doctor is the only one in the practice and her hours are not that great. I really wanted to deliver at South Nassau but if I go to Dr. Ramirez Ill be at Plainview which Im fine with. Thanks so much!!

Are you talking about island obgyn right on sunrise highway, by massapequa animal hospital? If so, my friends Mom works there and told me not to go there. I actually live up the block and it would have been really easy for me. I don't have the reasons why, but I trust her opinion. I do have a friend who went there and delivered and was happy.

I have been going to Blinderman for a few years now, but haven't actually met King yet since she's never there when i have appointments
i really like the office staff, and Dr Blinderman is super friendly
obviously i don't know yet what she's like for delivery, and i'm meeting Dr King next week for the first time to make sure i know her in case she's the one to deliver me!

I see Dr. Ramirez and only had one bad experience with a PA last yr. Havent seen much of her since. My OB has not really "seen" except for after my exam. I have a new PA which I really like. Can someone fm me and tell me what i'm missing ?

I didnt like one of the PAs there either. I was seeing Dr. Ramirez, and I really loved her!! but once I got pregnant I wasn;t that happy. I didnt like the office staff...the wait...the fact that I never got to see Dr. Ramirez in the beginning and only the PA..the billing dept..just a lot of annoying things..and I didnt want to deliver at Plainview.
I also wasnt happy with the peri they told me to go to. That was the final reason why I left. He said I didnt need to go on Lovenox even though I had 2 miscarriages and have a blood clotting disorder. When I saw my blood dr, she said I should DEFINITELY be on it. So i left. I also heard some stories on here.
I am much happier with my new OB/GYN and LOVE that there is NEVER a wait. I would wait HOURS at that office. PLus,they were always switching doctors...office locations..just annoying.
