Anyone with hypoglycemia take the glucose test?

Before becoming pregnant I was hypoglycemic so my body produced too much insulin in response to food and would lower by blood sugar too much. I controlled it with diet and supplements.

As of a couple of weeks ago I had a hypoglycemic reaction because I didn't eat the way I should have. So even though anyone can develop GD I figured I still have hypoglycemia.

I took the 1 hr glucose test this week and failed with a 175 so I have to take the 3 hr test. I asked my DR. about the hypoglycemia and my test results. She said they would definitely be able to confirm the hypoglycemia with the 3 hr test. It make sense because it normally takes 3 hrs before my blood sugar is so low that I start getting the shakes, etc.

Has anyone with hypoglycemia taken and failed the 1 hr test? How many points did you fail by? Did you pass the 3 hr test?

I'm kinda nervous about taking the 3 hr test because if my body reacts the way it normally does I will be very shaky at 3 hrs and I HATE that feeling.

I just found out that I have hypoglycemia from my 3 hour test. I failed the 1 hour by just a few points.

I have been hypoglycemic for years... I failed the one hour by 2 points. I had to take the 3 hour. I threw up the 2 times I tried it. Stomach couldn't handle being empty and drinking that crap. I took another test where I fasted for 8 hours, then had blood drawn. Went and ate breakfast and went back after 2 hours for more blood. It was so much better. I ended up passing it... There are other options... Good luck..
