Spinoff from names on shirts: Disney question
Someone told us that we should invest in getting AJ some ears or a shirt that has her name on it (AJ - that is) so that the characters meet her by calling her by her name.
Sounds like a good idea except two things.
My paranoia She may not like ears on her head
Thoughts?

Re: Spinoff from names on shirts: Disney question
I've done names on the shirts numerous times without an issue. It's nice when the characters give them a little more attention because they know their name from the shirt. I'm into the whole coordinating the outfits with the park, and cutesty name stuff for Disney though. Never thought of it as a safety risk at all.

Re: Spinoff from names on shirts: Disney question
Something to think about... Characters in costumes don't speak. So if Mickey and Minnie are her thing, they will not greet her by name. However, if you think a princess greeting her by name would blow her mind, then do it. Magic Kingdom would be the most likely place to meet princesses, so maybe get a shirt just for that day?
As for ears, I like them for the traditional souvenir aspect. My DD got her first pair at 5 weeks old. Never worn.

Other characters besides Princesses do speak...Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Jack Sparrow, etc.

Re: Spinoff from names on shirts: Disney question
My girls got lots attention from cute outfits no they didn't know their names but the princesses asked my girls their names. The other ones like Mickey don't talk anyway. I personally wasn't comfortable having young children with their names on them making it easier for a stranger to walk with them. There are plenty of kids though with their names on them. We still got ears but just didn't put names on them.
