We are almost HALFWAY through deployment!!!!
I just had to share!!
I won't rest easy until he is here home with us..especially with the awful helicopter attack today..ugh...BUT...i skyped with DH today, his spirits are good...he was given a big job to do over there that he didn't expect and was happy about it..he has been learning SO MUCH and seems to be really excited to apply the training he's received to his job at home.
Novemeber isn't too far away...when i typed in MAy about feeling sick that he left, i never thought the halfway point would come and its almost here...my boys (especially johnny) cannot wait to see daddy again!!

November can't be quick enough!
i just found out my nephew left Iraq he will be doing the rest of service in Texas. Now my neice's husband that is still in Afghanistan won't be home until her baby is born in October then hopefully he will only have a year more in deployment.

Thanks everyone!!
It has been very tough at times (doing it all on my own with two boys) BUT you honestly don't realize how strong you are until you're in that type of posiiton.
I told DH for 2 years that he was NOT allowed to do this...that i woudln't have it, wasn't something i ever wanted to discuss...but honestly, posting about it on this board helped me change my mind. So many of you showed me the positve things that could come of it and i rethought everything.
We still have a ways to go, but hoping the next 3 months go as fast as the first three. I just want to kiss him already, lol!! And i booked a trip to mexico as something to look forward to!!
