keep your house in tact and have it out. save the spa party for when she is a bit older and won't be interested in a gym type party any longer. it's easy to do spa parties when she is older and you take a few girls out.

I had both my girls 4th b-day parties at home. I hired a cute clown to come in and do dancing, games and face-painting and they all loved it.
I served pizza (and McDonald's for DD#1's 5th...we did the same type of party) and cake, decorated with the "decor" of their choice, set a start and end time (a MUST for home parties  ) and called it a day!
I would not consider a spa party at that age...as witnessed by that thread the other day, some moms don't do the polish thing on their DDs...
