Christian/Catholic prayers and songs for kids!
If your kids go to Catholic School or are in some kind of religious program - can you share cute kids prayers or songs? I did not go to Catholic School and DD is not in preK yet (and will probably go public anyway) so I feel like I am missing out on those cute little things!
We say the Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be every day - not exactly kiddie prayers.
The only little song I know is: Jesus loves me this I know! For the bible tells me so!
Anything else I can teach her?

I also went to public school but when we were younger my mom made us go to Vacation Bible School in the summer (which I hated at the time!). I remember this song from there

I probably have the worst singing voice in the entire world but when putting DD down to sleep I always sing "How Great Thou Art" - not exactly a kids song though!

I say this version of the "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" prayer with DS every night and every few weeks he gets closer and closer to reciting the whole thing with me. he is 2.5 yrs old
Now I lay me down to sleep
My soul I pray the lord to keep
And angels watch me through the night
Until I wake with morning's light

We read a book called "Goodnight Prayer". My DS is 4 and has it memorized!

I swear, I dont remember ever learning many songs in CCD class..
and i went to catholic school for 7th & 8th grade only where we had to do the rosary every morning and after we returned from recess, prayers of the faithful in the morning too after the pledge.
I think its nice that you say those prayers with your DD. I dont really do that with DS.

Our diocese just did a session for parents using this series. We weren't able to attend but my frieds said it was great and the books/cds are fabulous.
