Co-Worker keeps giving me clothes and diapers...how can i re-pay?

my DH works with someone whose son just had a baby but the baby was a big boy (10-11lbs at birth). they had already washed all the NB clothes and he didnt fit in them so they gave them all to us. They have given us 2 big bags already.

then on top of that someone made them a diaper cake of size 1 diapers that he didnt fit in so they gave us those diapers as well. Today DH came home with another big bag of loose size 1 diapers along with an unopened package of size 1's.

we would like to repay this couple for their kindness. what should we get?
do you think a gift card to BRU or target would be good? or maybe find out what size diapers he's in and get them a box? how much would you put on the gift card?

I think either idea is good I would do a $40-50 GC

My first reaction is that a GC is sort of weird. I would feel funny receiving that from you if I gave you that stuff. IDK I feel like it would seem like you felt obligated (I'm not saying you do- but I think I would take it funny). If I were you I would send something else- like maybe a basket of cookies or something.

I give away tons...an unexpected thank you card in the mail made my day.

I think I would probablly give like a $50 GC... that is really so nice of the co-worker to do that!!! And who couldn't use a GC to Target, even if its not spent on Clothes for the child, and maybe something for themselves, or towards Christmas for their DC ya know...

I think thats a really great and generous gift! And it would make my day!

I would pick up a few oufits and say oh I saw these and thought DS would look so cute in them. I would even pick up some board books (maybe from marshalls) to give them.

while i'd appreciate that GC, I would think it was funny, like being repaid. i pass things along to others all the time. why not get a GC for a take out place near their house? those always make life easier. attach a really nice thank you card b/c someone taking the time to genuinely thank me means so much.

I would buy a box of diapers and wipes in the babies size and add a $50 gift card along with it.

I think just a simple thank you and if you really wanted to, buy an outfit for their son... in his size!

I dont think I would give a gift. I would just write a really nice thank you note saying how thoughtful it was of them to think of you and how much you really appreciate everything. Maybe send along some kind of a baked good but I wouldn't get a GC. If I was the one giving someone clothes and they turned around and gave me a GC I would feel weird. Then they would probably want to thank you in some way for that and it just seems like a lot of back and forth.
