Car seat suggestions

DD is going to be 2 and has a convertible car seat.

DS is turning 8 months and will soon need a convertible car seat.


Is there a reasonably priced car seat option for either my DD ( at this older age) or DS ?


I will need to buy 2 seats & would prefer to spend less $$ if possible (without sacrificing on the safety ofcourse).

For your DD, you can get the Graco Nautilus - it's FF only though.

For DS, I've heard great things about the MyRide from Graco. I saw it on sale at TRU for like $119 I think. We have the Britax Boulevard, but it's not what I'd call inexpensive.

We also have the Cosco Scenera as our "travel" carseat since it's wayyyy lighter and it was only $40 at Walmart.com. It's definitely a No Frills carseat though.

I'd pass the convertible seat down and buy a new seat for your older DC.

Graco Nautilus or Britax Frontier are the two seats I tend to recommend the most for FF children.

Nautilus can be found for less than 150 if you search around, Walmart carries it for the cheapest last I looked.

The Graco MyRide 65 is a great seat. We just installed 2. One in my car (for my granddaughter) and one in my daughters car. I got them from Walmart online. They were $129, free shipping. Also BBB and BRU have them. With a 20% off coupon they come to $129 also. Sometimes Target has it on sale. This car seat was highly recommended to me by Chris who works for Nassau County Safety and actually does car seat installations & inspections.
