Mystic, Poconos or Philly?

Dh and I are looking to go away for a few days for our anny and was wondering if anyone had info on any of these places? Where did you stay and what did you do?

I haven't been in years, but I'm planning on going to Philly next summer on a mini road trip, and I've started looking up a few things to do:

Phillies Game
Independence Hall
Philly Museum of Art (rocky steps)
Liberty Bell
US Mint
Edgar Allan Poe Museum
Yards Brewing Company

For cheesesteaks:

Pat's

As for where to stay, I like using Hotwire..there's a site called Better Bidding that can help you see what you're bidding on..

There's also a Palomar by Kimpton in Philly..I just stayed at the one in DC and loved it

I have friends who live just outside of Philly so we have gone and visited a few times...

Kayla hit most of the highlights.... we were there this past weekend and there are also wineries and we went to an Ale Fest at the Philly Zoo which was a lot of fun.

If you go to a Phillies game just don't let them know you're a NY fan. Phillies fans are BRUTAL!!! LOL!

Love Philly. We're headed back there in the fall with the kids to do the Franklin Institute, Liberty Bell, Franklin Court, Independence Hall, all that stuff.

DH & I went to Mystic before we had kids. Hated it. I don't understand why so many people, especially without kids, rave about it. I could see the kids enjoying it but we thought that the aquarium was small and overpriced, and the historical stuff was eh. We're both big history buffs and were really disappointed.
