Alimentum vs. Nutramagin
MD wants me to swtich DD's formula to one of the above b/c she has had loose stools (6+ times a day) and has developed mild eczema.
Anyone recommend one over the other? Price? Best place to buy? RTF or powder?
Currently she is on Similac Sensitive and have been overall really good. Gaining weight, sleeping through the time, happy. Occasionally she is fussy, but......I'm scared to switch and have things change!
Any advice is helpful!

Re: Alimentum vs. Nutramagin
my DS was on similac advance and was allergic so we switched to similac alimentum and it has worked wonders. He is no longer gassy/fussy etc.
We use RTF bottles, haven't tried the powder yet. We were buying it at BRU for $55/case, always use checks/coupons for deals bc it never goes on sale. Our insurance company covers it so we get it from the pharmacy now as a Rx from the dr.
Are you switching bc of an allergy? if so, you might be able to get ur ins. co. to cover it with a note from the dr.
I think enfamil nutramigen is the same stuff just another brand.

Re: Alimentum vs. Nutramagin
Thanks for the response!
When the MD tested her stool this AM he didn't see any blood, but based on clinical presentation it seems like an intolerance/allergy. The MD did mention that if it is in fact an allergy we could go through insurance and that he was hoping her would find traces of blood for that reason, but as of now it's not confirmed. I have to take samples for the next 3 days and bring them back in for him to check out.
