Kings Wharf Bermuda-excursions?
Anyone have any feedback?
We were thinking Horseshoe Beach for sure, also the kayak tour and maybe snorkeling? I will be in port for 3 days.

Re: Kings Wharf Bermuda-excursions?
We had our kids with us so we did the aquarium, a trolley tour, high tea at the fairmont hamilton princess, and spent an afternoon at horseshoe bay beach. We loved the beach (bring $ for the shuttle ride back), and we LOVED the high tea. I don't usually like tea and it was outstanding. Members of my party went snorkeling and loved it.

Re: Kings Wharf Bermuda-excursions?
We did a kayak tour which wasnt too enjoyable since the waters were so choppy at that time. We struggled the whole time and couldnt look through the glass bottom window at all. It may have just been a windy day though.
Horseshoe beach is a must-see!

Are you doing a cruise as well? We are going on the Norwegian Gem and I was looking at which excursions to do also!

We jsut went the end of June on Celebrity - we did Horsehoe Bay, A bike tour and a nightime glass bottom boat tour. All were nice. I liked the bike tour and the beach is a must.

Hartley's Helmet Diving. If it's not offered thru your cruise line, you can book with them directly.
I think they're closer to Hamilton, but I'm sure you could get there taxi/bus.

Honestly - I wouldn't go "excursion" crazy with the cruiseline. I've been to Bermuda a bunch of times, and it's a small island. Rent a moped and tour the island on your own. You can really see the whole island in a day.

I agree about the excursions, disagree about the mopeds. They are extremely dangerous to drive in Bermuda. We witnessed more than one accident while there. Also, I wouldn't pay to snorkel with the cruise ship. We snorkeled at Horseshoe Bay, right by the aquarium for $5 and the guy had given us dog treats (random, I know) to feed the fish. The tour from the cruiseline that paid about $35 each, saw the same fish we did, didn't have any treats to give them, but they did have a tour guide to gesture wildly at the fish and a complimentary can of soda.

lol that is so funny
We are in port for 3 days so we thought we would do one day of an excursion only.
One day we will go to Horseshoe via bus and stay there the entire day!
Another day do something on our own and get lost and explore.

Are you taking the NCL cruise? We've done that one before and it's awesome! Another thing to consider- they sell 3-day bus passes. We usually get one as soon as we dock and use it for the 3 days we're there. I also recommend checking out the Crystal Caves at least once- not to mention the Swizzle Inn bar (where you sign your name on the wall) is directly across the road.

Re: Kings Wharf Bermuda-excursions?
We went kayaking and I don't know how your arms are, but DH did most of the paddling! We were in a bay on the other side of the island with the wind in our faces, it wasn't easy!
I think next time we go, we'll rent Jet Skis instead. There's also Dolphin Quest which was pricey but something DH really wanted to do, and we loved it.

ITA w/everything you said. It really is so easy to get around Bermuda. And you can also take the ferry w/the bus pass. Even though it may take you a little longer to get where you are going, it's relaxing and you get to travel around the island by boat. The aquarium is also across from the caves and Swizzle Inn.
