Disney- travel w carseat ?
taking both DS to disney DS 1 will be almost 3yo and DS 2 15 months. we will be renting a car when we are there. we were thinking of bringing both Britax carseats, checking one, and bringing the other onto the flight. has anyone brought these seats with them?
the britax are huge, we were going to rent carseats but from what I understand they are not in the best condition??
DH doesn't like the idea of bringing these big carseats, I don't like the idea of renting who knows what when we get there. please help!
thank you!!!

Re: Disney- travel w carseat ?
We flew to Orlando in April...
We brought DD's britax carseat and gate checked it, I didn't want to rely on an unknown carseat down there...too many variables that I couldn't trust.
It wasn't too much of a pain...we just sat near the gate and put the carseat on the ground w/us, and when we boarded we checked it, right after we got off we got it and put it in a wheely cart and then put it into the rental car we had (it was a mini van).
HTH!

Will DH compromise and buy 2 inexpensive travel seats?

Re: Disney- travel w carseat ?
We just took our 15 month old DS to Disney in June.
We did not want to take his Britax seat since it's so big and kinda heavy.
We bought a Cosco Scenera for $40 and bought a strap from Amazon to hook the carseat onto our carry on bag so we never even had to carry the car seat. Once we got to the gate, we just gate checked the carseat. We wanted to gate check in case we got lucky and there was an empty seat for him on the plane.
Worked out really well!!! I'd really recommend it.
ETA: Here's the strap I referred to: Car seat strap - LINK

Re: Disney- travel w carseat ?
We've brought DD#1's Britax a couple of times and it is bulky. I agree either get the strap for the luggage or buy 2 inexpensive ones. We have 3 Cosco Sceneras and they are sooo much lighter.

Re: Disney- travel w carseat ?
Scenera or Evenflo Tribute are both lightweight (under 10lbs each) small and cheap.
Thank you LoveyQ for posting the link to the strap. I knew I had seen it somewhere and couldn't find it!

Re: Disney- travel w carseat ?
Also is you do bring your britax, be sure the check the seat's pitch and length to make sure it will fit.
