Re: must haves for registry?

I had mostly the big stuff laid out as well when I went to register. When I went BRU gave me this book and it broke everything down by category and amounts ect. It was really helpful for the little stuff. I also went through the threads on here that I had notebooked that were regarding smaller things and made a list of those. But in the end, I winged it.

Cloth diapers - they come in packs of 12, usually by Gerber. They make the BEST burp cloths!

Bath stuff - it adds up so better to have someone else buy it for you, and the kind you want Chat Icon

Extra sheets

Swaddles. I love the ones by Kiddopotamus (SwaddleMe) the best but Halo makes good ones too. I know not all kids use them but I am a huge huge fan of swaddling, it helps NBs sleep like they did in the womb.

A sound machine - the $20 one by HoMedics is perfect, and gets loud enough to really soothe a fussy NB

i also got the book when i registered at BRU that showed what they "think" you shouild register for. Also, if you go on the BRU website they have a tab at the top that says "Top Registry Items." I looked at this to give me some ideas and make sure I wasn't forgetting anything.

I'd say some bottles (different kinds), nipples, and bottle brushes-and a drying rack! Chat Icon

Chat Icon I'm reading a great book, BABY BARGAINS. They tell you what you need or don't. It's written my mothers and tested by mothers too. They are almost like the Consumer Reports for baby items. They also have a website!
