My twins are 11.5 months old and go to bed between 6:30 and 6:45. They usually get up around 6am. I used to put them to bed later and they were terrible sleepers (night and naps). I think they were over tired, so I would try an earlier bed time to see if that helps.

DS has been going to bed at around 8pm every night since 3m, he's 16m now.

I don't think the book says put them to bed at 5:30... I think its saying, if its their time, put them to be at 5:30...

If you are having trouble with naps, then try 30-60 min earlier for a while. You kind of have to find what will work for her, if whats going on now isn't working.

At that age DD bedtime was, always has been, and still is 7:30pm. She is 15months now.

sorry to hijack but for the moms who have a 1 year old who go to bed at 7....

what do your naps look like?

my DD naps twice a day. wakes at 7, naps at 10.wakes at 12. naps at 3, wakes at 5. she would totally not be sleepy by 7:30. once she drops a nap, i know she will be back to her early bedtime, but just curious how your LO's are getting such early bedtimes at this age. thanks!

we are on that same exact wake/nap schedule and ds does go down to bed usually around 7:30-8. Bath, bottle, bed and he is just out (sometimes even pushing aside that bottle)

DS turned 1 on July 1st and we have the same nap schedule as you. Most nights he is in bed by 7, unless hubby is working a little late - I might stretch it to 7:30.

ETA: I saw on your previous post that you wait 4 hours from the nap wake up. My DS would never survive that long, he has been known to be back asleep as little as 90 minutes after his previous nap. Every child is different and you have to go with what works.

DD is only 10m but goes to bed around 7. She usually naps for three hours a day.. either two long naps or three short ones. Our typical day is wake at 6:30, nap from 9-10:30, nap 1:30-3:00, bed at 7.

Thanks. yeah DD always stayed up longer before bedtime than the rest of the day. when we try to put her down earlier, she just fights it. if i wait the 4 hours, i can put her down and she will pass out in 5-10 minutes. she used to sleep early when she didnt nap as long but once she started napping 2 hours, everything got pushed back.

After we run some errands, get her dinner, let her digest and play, bathtime...the 4 hours have already passed. i do miss my early bedtimes though.
