37 Weeks and Cramping

Hey! I am 37w and I have had period like cramps throughout the day. In the afternoon they lasted for about 2 hours. Then they went away but now they are back! My baby is moving like crazy when these cramps are happening. Is this normal?

God bless you for going this long. You are cooking that baby to perfection. I gave birth at 37 weeks with all three. Good luck and I hope you feel well.

Re: 37 Weeks and Cramping

could be contractions. I would call the dr. just to be sure.

I felt the same way for 2 weeks before I had DS, turns out I was dilating slowly and going through the early stage of labor.

Re: 37 Weeks and Cramping

I went to the doctor on Sat and I wasnt dilated at all. I guess I will call tomorrow if this is still happening. Thanks!

Also, I have ZERO discharge. Sorry for the TMI but I keep reading that I should have a lot at this point. I havent had any at all during my pregnancy. Would discharge increase if it was labor?

Drink more water! My midwife told me that if I don't drink enough water you will get cramping...esp at this point (and in this heat!)

I've been cramping since 35 weeks and I'm still preggo 2 days before my dd. My doc always tells me to drink water.

I have to agree with the drinking water...it will make the cramping and any contractions get better (unless of course you're in active labor).
