Those who have toddlers that nap 2 1/2 to 3 hours
Forgive me, this is oh so new to me. Usually she'd go 1 1/2, 2 hours tops.
Since she's been taking on these marathon naps, her bedtimes are so screwy.
If your DC naps that long, how long after their nap do they go down for bed at night?
I was figuring since she needs to nap about 5 hours after she gets up in the morning, it would be 5 hours after nap to go to sleep- but I think I'm wrong with the way things have been going.

Ian wakes up about 6:30am. Goes down for a nap between 11:30 and 12. wakes up between 2 and 3pm. and then goes to bed at 6:30pm.

DS typically goes onger between nap and bedtime as opposed to wake-up to nap.
He's usually ready for a nap about 5 hours after he wakes up, but then will usually be awake for 6-7 hours after the nap.

DS wakes up around 7 a.m. & then will nap around 1:30-2 p.m. He usually naps 2- 2.5 hours. Yesterday & some days he sleeps for 3. His bedtime is usually 7:15 pm. Yesterday (& on long nap days) I'll put him in closer to 8. He goes right down.
The key to longer naps & good bedtimes seem to be to let him be in the water & running around all day.
ETA he's 2.

DD wakes about 8am. She naps from about 1:30-3:30ish or 4. Her bedtime is 8pm, but it takes her a while to fall asleep - she rolls around for a bit. She is usually asleep by 8:45pm

Ds naos home when not in daycare from aboutn10:30,11-2 or 3 depending on his mood and tiredness.
When in school he naps from about 1-3 again, sometimes earlier.
This weekend he was sick, high fevers, naos all screwy, he napped Sat from 12:30-5.
No matter when he naps or for how long his bedtime is 8pm, FIRM. Unless of course, its a holiday or birthday or we sre out at someones house.
