i would definitly offer my mom money which i know she wouldnt take it...my mom will probably be watching my little one when they arrive 2 or 3 days a week so i will probably give her gift certificates to go out for dinner every now and then instead of giving her money

i offered my mom the going rate of daycare but she has free medical insurance and is still in her young 50s and also lives 45 minutes away from me. I don't blame her for not doing it. She will watch my kids when she retires though!!!!

I'd pay because if my mom was quiting her job to do it she'd need money as well as my MIL.

My mom always watched my DS for nothing but, not for me to go to work, unless he was sick and she wanted to stay home with him.
