contractions question for BDTD moms

did you feel any different before your contractions started? like cramping on and off or did your contractions just start up out of nowhere?

Re: contractions question for BDTD moms

My contractions started and water broke at the same time. The first few contractions I had weren't too painful at all. The pain started in my back and then moved to my stomach. The first few hours was very tolerable.
There was no indication for me that labor was starting. The only thing I can remember clearly was that my ds was less active in the hours leading up to labor starting.

i got my bloody show first. Then contractions started 30 minutes later. But yes they were out of nowhere. I never got contractions at all prior. Chat Icon

Re: contractions question for BDTD moms

i had contractions every 10-15 minutes from week 35 on.

my water broke on it's own @ 38 wks... i didn't have reallllly painful contractions until at least 8 hrs later.

i really think every pregnancy is different for every mom!

Re: contractions question for BDTD moms

well, my water broke in the middle of the night, so I knew they were going to start soon...20 minutes later my contractions started. I had no cramping the day before, but I did just "feel" different. I was more uncomfortable than normal - like no matter what I did I couldnt relieve any of the discomfort.

I've had braxton hicks all throughout my pregnancy. It eventually turned into real contractions. I had contractions for a week at 10-20 mins apart prior to a bloody show.

The contractions just got more intense the closer they were to each other. At first they felt like the pain I had been feeling for the past few days they were on and off and manageable. Then they came faster and more painful.
