Bottle Sterilizer

Is everyone planning on using a bottle sterilizer? I know you can sterilize the bottles using boiling water. How often do bottles need to be sterilized?

Re: Bottle Sterilizer

I registered for the Tommee Tippee Electic Sterilizer. I honestly don't know how often it's necessary to sterilize them.

I have the avent sterilizer, although eventually we just used the dishwasher. Our new dishwasher has a sterize cycle.

We registered for one that you use with the microwave. We don't have a dishwasher and with twins on the way, anything that is fast is a benefit for us!

Really its a waste of money. You can boil them, takes 2 mins. We bought one, used it twice and tossed it. Total waste. You dont need to sterilize after each use. I think I did it like two times and thwt was it.

Re: Bottle Sterilizer

My dr told me it is only necessary when you first take them out of the package..so we boiled them on stove top..

after that dishwasher is more than enough!

ITA except I never even used it. I only steralized them (boiled them in water) for the first use, after that you can use hot water and soap.
