LI porperty rentals...anything like a Last Minute Deal?
I was thinking of looking in to a weekend rental and thought maybe I could get a good deal on short notice.
pipe dream or possibility? any good sites I could check on?

Out east I have see a to of signs with weekly rentals. Check the local papers. Dans, 27east, timesreview.

i have to believe a one weekend house rental in the hamptons this time of year will be an absolute fortune. people easily get $45K (often more) just for the summer.
