Laptops on lap?
Is it at all dangerous or harmful to have my laptop on my lap? Right now I have a blanket over my legs, just in case. Am I crazy for thinking about this?

I read that it's perfectly safe. Mine is on my lap rght now.

I read that it's perfectly safe. Mine is on my lap rght now.

OMG ur totally NOT crazy!!!!
I have had this thought as well, actually last night! When I felt the warm air coming out of the side by the fan it ran through my mind...glad you mentioned it on here so I remembered LOL
Glad to hear others say it is fine...I do the same thing with the blanket though anyway!

I thought about this last night, when mine was starting to feel warm on my lap.  Then I thought I am making myself crazy and just put it on a small snack table to be sure.
But from what I read, it is fine.

This actually makes me soooo nervous, since 2 days a week I work from home with my laptop on my lap (8-9 hours at a time).
I bought this because of a woman in my IT department was freaking out about EMF (electro-magnetic field) and my unborn child. But, can't be too safe, right?

I thought about the electro waves going into my belly LOL so I use that lap desk thing everytime I am on my laptop. you can get them in brookstone.

IT folks are cuckoo bananas anyway.. EMF is very slight.. its just like white noise in the air, so laptops are ok.
From the little I read, it ionizes the "waves" that it makes it neutral in front of your belly.. what about around you?  I see the concept thought..
